The U.S. Green Building Council is a private, non-profit organization that promotes and regulates sustainable building practices and designs. USGBC is behind the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, as well as the annual conference, Greenbuild, which promotes environmentally responsible materials, sustainable architecture techniques, and green building methods. USGBC established the LEED rating system in 2000, and it is now the accepted industry standard for assessing building performance and sustainability.
After over a decade in business, the USGBC has grown from six employees to over two hundred, and now operates a number of sites and organizations, all of which are committed to designing, building, working in and living in green buildings. The progress of these organizations thus far has been impressive, and they continue to gain steam as Americans become increasingly more aware of energy issues and costs.
It is clear that going green has garnered national attention and left a lasting impression on Americans. USGBC in Arizona and across the country has had a big part in making that happen. Azulenergy Group strives to achieve results that will not only save you money, but also make a difference in the environment and energy availability for many generations to come. Azulenergy Group is a member of the local Phoenix USGBC chapter.
