Azulenergy Group is staffed by Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified professionals committed to improving the comfort, health, safety, durability and energy efficiency of America’s existing houses†. BPI is an independent, nonprofit organization that sets the technical standards and training programs for individual and company accreditations in the world of home performance contracting.
It is estimated that there are 128 million homes in America, and many of them were built before modern safety and building codes were established. Using building science technology taught by BPI, existing residential homes can be analyzed and energy retrofits put into place to reduce the dependence on fossil fuel which currently accounts for 20% of the country’s primary energy consumption. Azulenergy Group’s vision is to educate homeowners on the benefits of energy efficiency through the implementation of the BPI standards that are nationally-recognized
The BPI Energy audit uses the house-as-a-system approach to inspect, test, and measure to decide what energy-efficient retrofits are practical and cost-effective. The industry standards set forth by BPI provide consistency throughout the building performance industry nationwide. The result, the homeowner receives a thorough diagnosis by a certified professional who has proven their knowledge of building science and is able to diagnose and provide customized solutions to improve your home comfort level and lower energy bills.
